GIBSS seeks to create ‘Zero Net Energy Buildings’ - buildings that can harvest energy to meet their own demand. The Company provides geothermal, hot water cogeneration and lighting technologies that help buildings reduce operational costs by 60-80%. Such reduction and optimisation in demand will help make supply side solutions more affordable and commercially viable. Till date, GIBBS has generated savings of over 5 million electrical and units reduced over 75 million litres of water consumption and 6000 tonnes of carbon footprint equivalent to planting 400,000 trees.
Since receiving the Sankalp Award, GIBSS has successfully raised investment of INR 20 mn from Hyderabad Angels India. The Intellecap Investment Banking Practice Area was the sole advisor on this transaction. Sankalp also nominated GIBSS to the CNBC TV18 Samsung Innovation Quotient, 2012 where the Company was selected runners-up amongst a pool of 150+ innovations.
